Hi my tennis friends,

Congratulations to Andy Murray and Serena Williams for winning the Olympics gold medal!

Serena Williams claimed her first singles Olympic gold with a devastating 6-0 6-1 victory over Russia's Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon and she became the first player in the sport to win all four grand slams and an Olympic title in both singles and doubles.

What an achievement.

I must admit that I am not a big fan of Serena Williams but I truly respect her focus and determination in the game.

During the finals, she was just too quick and powerful for Sharapova.

As for the men's gold medal match, I was right with my predictions!

Andy Murray finally broke through at tennis’ highest level on Sunday, demolishing Federer in the men’s singles final, 6-2, 6-1, 6-4. He did it at in the Olympics, at Wimbledon, in front of his home country, on the biggest stage of sports.

His Olympic title may not have been a Grand Slam, but it is time to put up or shut up about Andy Murray’s performance.

Murray played a beautiful, meticulous and brutal game against Federer. He even concluded the match with two whipping aces. I think the amount of determination that he had was tremendous. Hopefully with this gold medal, his Grand Slam trophies can come as well.

In the next few days, I will be putting up new articles on my website. I have been really busy these days but I will not forget to update my tennis friends with the latest tennis tips to improve your tennis.

Committed to your tennis,

Joel
