Improve-Your-Tennis.com Newsletter---Excellent Tennis From Two Warriors
January 20, 2013
Dear tennis friends,

I just watched a superb tennis match from 2 great warriors. You are right.. I'm referring to Novak Djokovic and Stanislas Wawrinka.

I have to say their mental toughness were put to a grueling test. 5 hours of tennis! Novak won the match 1-6 7-5 6-4 6-7 (5-7) 12-10!

Both player held on to their serve in the last set. Novak had a slight advantage as he was serving first in the fifth set. Their level of play was excellent. The winning match point was a beautiful backhand passing shot at full stretch from Novak.

For Djokovic, he once again proved why he is the current world no 1. After playing a poor first set and trailed 1-4 in the second set, he managed to come back and won the second set 7-5. He simply doesn't give up.

For Wawrinka, I think he probably played the best tennis of his life today. I could feel for him when he lost the match. He really deserve to win tonight and he had his chances. That's the reality of tennis.

While watching the match, two things came to my mind. Mental and fitness. These two factors are so important in tennis that one should not neglect if he/she wants to get serious with tennis! Techniques are important in tennis but if you are facing an opponent who is about the same level as you, what determines the winner is how much you want the victory. Do you agree?

Let me know about your feelings about this match between the two great warriors.

Continue to enjoy watching the actions from the Aussie Open!

Committed to your tennis,

Joel
